UNTITLED
I remain the same "me" without an eye, without an arm, and without a body. If my physical vessel slowly falls apart, my soul will still remain intact. Or, at what point of the process, I become someone else? In this project, I want to explore identity through an inner lens, looking inward instead of outward, reflecting on my definition of self, and testing the limit of my identity. I collected a bag of stones and carefully weighted it to the exact weight of my body. This bag of stones represents my body; I used it as a tool to distance myself from my physical being. As I dragged it through the hill, it broke and let the stones inside slip out. I felt the weight gradually become lighter. This project was a transforming moment for me to feel free from the chain of my physical being and truly connect with myself.
